Many years ago before everyone had nice LCD HD TV’s, things were a little different. Actually go back to the ’50s and the most common for of news other that TV (black and white only) were Newsreels. When you went to the Saturday Matinee at the theater you were presented with a Newsreel before the cartoon and the movie.
These newsreels have been preserved for all the younger generation and historians to review.

A company called Electric Power Research Institute has came up with a robot that scales power lines checking for trees to close and any obstruction that might cause the power line to fail. This could be a real boost in keeping power lines clean from debris and keeping the power on for us power users.
