FOIA – Freedom of Information Act
I was reading about the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) to see what was actually available and how to go about getting certain records that I was interested in reviewing. After reading the section on what is NOT covered by this ‘Act’, I found that what I was concerned about would not be available to me. The following is this section. “Judicial records, records of the Congress and legislative branch agencies, donated historical materials, and Nixon Presidential Historical Materials are not subject to the provisions of the FOIA.” Freedom of Information Act
It seems to me that most of the best is private such as “Congress and legislative”. Actually the FOIA is related to the executive branch.
What I wanted was the information that is contained in the secret treaty called Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA). It is a real threat to your personal freedom and you should be concerned about what is happening with this ‘secret’ treaty. Follow this link> to get a quick overview of what is happening.
