I was just cruising the Net tonight and I found a list of lists. Well this site has a list of Top Ten lists. I know Letterman has his top ten lists each night but these are far better, from Dave’s list, not to be confused with Letterman.

Ok, so you have checked out the above top ten lists, well this site has the top ten lists of… well everything. I must agree. If you need a top ten list on anything you will find it here. I don’t agree with a lot of them, but none the less, they are worth checking out.

Before I leave this subject I want to recommend one more top ten site. What I like about this one is the way it is organized. Very easy to find a list on the subject you are interested in perusing. I enjoyed the top ten April fool pranks.

MY humble apologies for this next post if it hit home with you like it did with me.

I found a web site that try’s its best to help you out but really shows all your weaknesses. There isn’t anything in the world that smacks us in the face as we get older as trying to remember certain things. Actual it isn’t remembering because it is stored up there somewhere, just finding it at the correct moment is the problem. The following site will help you or intimidate you depending on how you take it. OK, check out smartbrains.com and see for yourself.

“Welcome to the Visual Dictionary Online, the dictionary with a new point of view. A quick glance at the index is all it takes to connect words with images. Explore the 15 major themes to access more than 6,000 images and see words like never before.” OK, why not a picture to explain things instead of words? They did a pretty good job but there is still a lot of words but at least they have a picture for each item.

I always need to tie or secure something. Tape doesn’t always work and it is not reusable. Rope takes up too much space along with string which is not strong enough, so what do you use? Check out these guys. They make a reusable cable tie that works great and doesn’t cost so much that you can’t afford to buy them.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. You deserve this day and hope your family has made it special.
OK moms, here are few quick links to give you a bit of help.

A little advice on motherhood, money, and careers to working moms.

http://www.bluesuitmom.com

A few videos and blogs on mothering and child-rearing.

Here is an organization on advocating family friendly policies.

“Emphasis On Moms is focused on encouraging mothers not only as parents, but as individual women. The goal each month is to help moms treasure their position in life by creating a warm and inviting environment at home for their families while also getting much-needed support for themselves.”

If you hate to be put on the phone push button routine where you have to push 1 then 2 then 3 before you get to a real person, well so do I. In my blog on 7-22-07 I made reference to http://gethuman.com/us/. A great place to find the phone numbers to reach real people. There is another site that you might like to visit. This site will automatically do the number keying in for you and you will then be in touch with a real human or at least in the queue. Just enter in the company you want to talk to and they do the rest.

The reason you called one of the above number might have been to get a resolution to a problem. If you don’t get satisfaction, there are a few web sites that like to listen. Jut post you problem and the web search engine will find it and the bad press may get you some help or at least you had a opportunity to let the world know of the poor service you received. Try either complaints.com or planetfeedback.com. If neither of them work you can pay $5 at thesqueakywheel.com and they will notify at least 5 search engines and notify the company in question each time the post has been read.

The Better Business Bureau helped 73% of the people that requested help from them last year. So, you might give them a call or try contacting your states Attorney General office from the list at the following web site.

If you are in the baby boomer generation or if your parents are in the baby boomer generation, this web site should be of interest to you.
The CDC has compiled some interesting data on this generation in regards to health. The option to not getting older is well, death. At least while we are still kicking, health is a major issue, so check out the CDC web site.

How many time have you said to yourself, ‘I would like to start a business’? OK, so you really decided to pursue it. Where do you go to get reliable info on things like, how to make a business plan, assessing financial need for your new business, marketing, security, technology needed, or the dreaded tax questions? The Small Business Administration has some 30 minutes online course to help you out. At least they will get you pointed in the right direction.

How do you _________? Well just fill in the blank. If you want to know how to do just about anything, there are multiple web sites to will tell you how. Now, where to start? Is there a good resource that cover multiple subjects? Well yes there is. Just click on the link and find out how.

The old saying, believe only half of what you hear, is correct. There are times when I hear about a bill that is talked about in the news media, that I want the actual wording or want to know the whole truth and not the media version. I have this site bookmarked for a quick check on the bill and what it really says. This site has multiple ways to search for bills passed, failed, and currently being discussed.

Personally, I dislike lawyers in general. They cause more problems for everyone in this country than any other profession. Always concerned about billable time. Frivolous law suits cause so much burden on the legal system today that it is a quagmire. With that said sometimes it is necessary to find legal advice. The following web site does provides basic info on many legal issues. Go to the bottom part of the page for information.
